How is neck liposuction performed?

Dr. Rosenblatt will begin your neck liposuction with a small incision on the neck where scarring would be less obvious, typically behind the ears, under the chin, or even inside the mouth. A thin tube is then inserted and any excess fat is suctioned out. Once the area is completely sculpted, stitches are used to seal the incision and a bandage is wrapped around the patient’s face and neck to reduce swelling and promote faster healing.

What can I expect after neck liposuction?

After surgery patients typically feel soreness, and Dr. Rosenblatt will prescribe oral pain medication to help with this. Most patients return to work after about a week. It is important to attend all follow-up appointments to insure proper recovery.
