What are fat injections?

Fat injections are popular among patients looking for a safe, long lasting, natural way to improve the appearance of volume in the face and lips. Fat injections replace volume deficient areas with fat from other areas of your body.

How are fat injections performed?

Fat is harvested using a special suction cannula using a sterile technique. Once enough fat is obtained from the donor area, it is then purified with a centrifuge. Then, the fat is placed into the areas needing treatment. The injection needle is minimal to reduce any discomfort.

What can I expect after fat injections?

As with any facial injectable, some patients may experience swelling or mild pain at the injection site. Most patients report little to no pain and no downtime. Patients should avoid rubbing the treated area, as well as stay out of sunlight for the few days after your treatment.
